Social distancing and socially vulnerable – how pandemic changed lives of elderly

"Catharsis" provides emergency free social services for the elderly in need. It is the place for friendships, socializing, and meetings of lonely, socially vulnerable people. This is the only way for them not to stay hungry, to get some help, care and most importantly, spend time in a company of people with the same problems, worries, sorrows, hardships… "Catharsis” was obliged to change the rules of service due to Covid-19 related regulations in the country. Khurvaleti borders Tskhinvali region (South Ossetia). After Russia-Georgia war in August 2008, Russian border guards set a new Administrative Boundary Line here through Georgian villages and announced it was the new "state border".
